About Me: Albert “Jobe” Martini III, LMT
Credentials
Aloha! I am a proud graduate of the National Holistic Institute and College for Massage Therapy, where I completed an extensive program in both Eastern and Western massage modalities in 1995. With over 20 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to helping clients reduce or eliminate pain, restore range of motion, and reclaim their birthright of a happy, fully functional body.
I began my journey by launching my massage practice within physical and occupational therapy offices. This integration proved transformative, offering patients a holistic approach to healing from various conditions, including post-operative recovery.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with diverse clients, tailoring each session to their specific needs. My professional experience extends beyond massage therapy: I’ve also served in administrative roles at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children and The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Every session I provide is designed to facilitate the healing process, and I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward wellness—now and for years to come.
My Story: How I Found This Work
In the early 1990s, my life was forever changed by a devastating car accident. It left me with chronic pain, limited range of motion, debilitating migraines, and an inability to perform even basic daily tasks. This experience plunged me into severe depression as I cycled through countless physical therapists and chiropractors, searching for relief.
After exhausting all options, my primary care physician referred me to one last physical therapist: Ma-Lai Farrel, PT. Her approach was unlike anything I had experienced. She explained that my symptoms stemmed from deep tissue injuries trapped in the belly of my muscles, affecting my nervous system. Using targeted deep tissue massage and guided range of motion exercises, she facilitated my recovery.
It wasn’t easy—it hurt—but with Ma-Lai’s guidance, I learned to breathe through the process and release the tension that had kept me in pain. Before long, I experienced a profound transformation: no more debilitating headaches, restored range of motion, and a return to work and life as I knew it before the accident.
Inspired by this “miracle treatment,” I knew I had found my calling. Ma-Lai’s work motivated me to shift my career goals and pursue massage therapy. I wanted to give others the same freedom from pain that I had received.
Today, I practice with the same passion and dedication that transformed my life. My goal is to provide alternative care that not only offers dramatic relief but also helps my clients heal faster and stay better longer.
